Terms of Reference
On behalf of Senate and in conjunction with the Student Senate and the Colleges, the Student Life Committee:
- Monitors and reviews the quality and performance of services and facilities provided to students and ensures coordination between those services and facilities;
- Reviews and makes recommendations on policies and procedures relating to the services, facilities and support provided to students;
- Considers annual reports on the quality and performance of services and facilities provided for students (other than academic services), using these to make recommendations for enhancement;
- Ensures that support for student wellbeing and welfare is effective and is integrated with academic support;
- Ensures that services and support to students are of the highest quality and are appropriate to the needs of a diverse student body;
- Considers and makes recommendations to Senate relating to student conduct and student discipline;
- Develops the student partnership as the start of a lifelong membership shared with shared experiences, values and interests;
- Receives periodic reports from subcommittees; and
- Reports at least annually to Senate.
Meetings
The Student Life Committee will normally meet four times per year.
