Introduction

Roehampton’s commitments to fair access and equal opportunities are central to our mission as a university. The success of all our students in their academic studies and beyond graduation is at the core of Roehampton’s strategic vision, and is central to our 2020/21 Access and Participation Plan (APP).

Eliminating the attainment gaps in student attainment is a strategic priority for the university, and in our APP we set targets to achieve the following:

• Reduce the degree awarding gap between the most and least deprived students (English IMD) to nine percentage points by 2025, with the goal of closing the gap by 2028.
• Reduce the degree awarding gap between white and black students to ten percentage points by 2025, with the goal of closing the gap by 2029.
• Eliminate the degree awarding gap between white and Asian students by 2025.

The information published on these pages shows:

• The number of students who attained a particular degree or other academic award, or a particular level of such an award, on completion of their course with us.

It shows these numbers by reference to:

• The gender of the individuals to which they relate
• Their ethnicity
• Their socioeconomic background.
