Fourth student anthology ‘The Unseen’ launched by Fincham Press

The University of Roehampton's Fincham Press is marking publication of its fourth anthology of student work with a public reading on Wednesday December 6.

‘The Unseen’, a collection of poems, flash fictions, short stories, screenplays, and novel extracts – provides a strong selection of work that is diverse but resonant with a sense—as editor Leone Ross puts it—of ‘mysteries; ideas; strange creatures, forbidden words, used anyway; ideas that scare us, make us angry, wistful, ashamed’.

The launch event, in the Portrait Room at Grove House, will feature readings by contributors, and the chance to buy the latest anthology, as well as earlier collections.

Fincham Press, based in the University's Department of English and Creative Writing, publishes anthologies of student work. In 2016 it launched two online open access journals: RoundTable, edited by postgraduates and early career researchers in Creative Writing, Children's Literature and English Literature, and The International Journal of James Bond Studies, which publishes research and reviews on all aspects of the James Bond franchise.
