Welcome to Digby Stuart College

Message from Professor Francis Davis, Head of the College

Welcome to the dynamic community of Digby Stuart  – the College home of those living in Elm Grove, Bede, Shaw and Newman, and those commuting to study at the School of Arts and Digital and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

We are an energetic team entirely focused on creating a community for you to belong to, take part in ways that suit you, be inspired in more ways than one, feel supported and cared for, and to build relationships for now and for a lifetime.

When you get here look out for our College staff and student leaders. They will show you how to get started, where to go, and where and when to show up for crucial welcome meetings and our free freshers BBQ on Sunday 18th and lunchtime reception on Monday 19th September.

Before you arrive you can sign up for the new Digby Members Circle here. Members get early warning of formal dinners, special College events, discounts on external services and a tailor-made bulletin. Membership is free.

You can also follow us on Facebook  and Instagram  and follow me on Twitter  @DigbyProf

Digby Stuart College is part of a global network of institutions originally founded by the Sacred Heart Sisters to empower young women that ancient universities would not admit. Today that network boasts entrepreneurs and Ambassadors, digital innovators and teachers, creatives and managers to name a few. Presidents, The Hotel Inspector, Cabinet ministers, nurses, nuns  and Lady Gaga have all been formed here. We are passionate about unlocking community, curiosity and creativity and building the skills, character, networks and spirit of all our students present and past. For us, social justice matters and consequently each person.

We are so excited to have the opportunity to meet you and look forward to creating the conditions for you to take first steps, build your confidence and flourish.

Welcome aboard!

Professor Francis Davis
